Welcome to Morning Basket Books!

My name is Jacinda Vandenberg. I’m happily married to my husband, Brad (this site is maintained with his encouragement and technical support!), and together we have six children.

 
Our favorite part of the day is Morning Basket time, when we gather in the family room and read living books together.

It is my joy and privilege to review our favorite reads with you! I hope you will find many delightful additions to your own family library, and so leave a ‘goodly heritage’ for your children, and your children’s children.

 
Each book review is strictly my own opinion, which is influenced by my desire to “glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” (Westminster Shorter Catechism, Q&A 1)

I have chosen only to review books that meet the qualifications of Philippians 4:8. To the best of my knowledge, they must be either true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, praise worthy, or all of the above.
